A Very Good Prayer

June 23, 2008 / by bluegrasslady

Prayer of the Day

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for allowing me to have children and grandchildren. Lord, help me to be the proper kind of parent who loves her children enough to discipline them. Forgive me when I have failed my children. Help me to be patient, loving, and kind in all disciplinary acts. Lord, I pray for the parents and grandparents of this generation that they may have wisdom, love and guidance in all of their relationships with their children and grandchildren. Lord, give our children a submissive heart and spirit toward authority so that our society can function in peace and order. May we all have the fear of the Lord in our lives which causes us to respect all authority that God has ordained. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Hope your pneumonia clears quickly and your asthma and other medical issues improve. Glad you got out of the hospital!! The hospital is no place to get rested up, ironic, isn't it?

That is so true, don't get much rest--sleep there, otherwise they treated me well. They were ( Doctor )was afraid would pick up something worse than what I had. The doctor didn't much want me to come home ,think he was afraid I wouldn't be able to take care of myself.I am doing fine. Jenn wanted me to go home with them, but she doesn't  need more, she feels bad enough.

That is a good prayer.  If every parent would remember to pray that way daily for their loved ones we wouldn't be over loaded with such a bunch of renegade young uns.

With a prayer like that we are inviting God into the family.... The most important action any parent could ever consider.
